The Information Physics Group at the University of New Mexico researches the physical laws governing the acquisition, processing, and transmission of information. Because these laws are quantum mechanical, we concentrate on quantum information research.
As an interdisciplinary group across the departments of Physics & Astronomy and Computer Science, we have strong ties to the UNM Center for Advanced Studies, Sandia National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Santa Fe Institute, and the Southwest Quantum Information and Technology Network. To learn more about us, come see a research seminar, take a course, view our publications, or contact us.
